This Privacy Policy explains how Aitecture (“we”, “us”) collects, uses, and protects personal information when you use the Aitecture community forum at https://community.aitecture.org (the “Service”). If you have questions, contact us at admin@aitecture.org.

1. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account information: username, display name, email address, and password when you sign up with email. Passwords are stored only as salted hashes.
  • Profile information: anything you choose to add to your profile, such as an avatar, bio, location, or website.
  • Content: topics, replies, messages, images, and other files you post or upload.
  • Communications: messages you send to us, for example by email.

Information we receive when you sign in with Google

If you choose Sign in with Google, we request only the standard openid, email, and profile scopes. With your consent, Google shares the following with us:

  • your Google account identifier,
  • your name,
  • your email address and whether it is verified,
  • your profile picture URL.

We do not request or receive access to your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data.

Information collected automatically

  • Log and device data: IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and timestamps.
  • Cookies: we use cookies that are necessary to keep you signed in, protect against fraud and abuse, and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.

2. How we use information

We use personal information only to:

  • create and authenticate your account, including linking your Google account for sign-in;
  • display your username, name, and avatar alongside the content you post;
  • automatically translate public posts, topic titles, categories, and tags so readers can view them in other supported languages;
  • operate, maintain, and secure the Service, including preventing spam and abuse;
  • send service emails, such as account confirmation, password resets, and notifications you have enabled;
  • respond to your requests and enforce our Terms of Service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

3. Google user data

Our use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Data obtained through Google Sign-In is used only to provide sign-in and account features described above. It is not transferred to third parties except as necessary to provide the Service, comply with law, or as part of a merger or acquisition with notice to users, and it is never used for advertising or to train generalized AI or machine-learning models.

4. Sharing and service providers

We share personal information only with providers that help us run the Service, and only as needed for that purpose:

  • Google – authentication when you use Sign in with Google;
  • MXroute – delivery of service emails;
  • Anthropic – AI translation of public content. The text of public posts, topic titles, categories, and tags is sent to Anthropic’s API to produce translations. Private messages, email addresses, and account information are not sent. Under Anthropic’s commercial terms, this content is not used to train their models;
  • Cloudflare – domain name (DNS) services.

The forum runs on servers we operate. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.

Content you post publicly, together with your username and avatar, is visible to anyone who can view the forum.

5. Data retention

We keep account information and content for as long as your account is active. Logs are kept only as long as needed for security and operational purposes. When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymize your personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations or resolve disputes. Unconfirmed accounts are removed automatically after 14 days.

6. Your rights and choices

You may:

  • access and update your profile and email preferences in your account settings;
  • download an archive of your posts from your account;
  • disconnect Google Sign-In from your account preferences, or revoke our access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions;
  • request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, including deletion of your account, by emailing admin@aitecture.org.

We will respond to requests within a reasonable time and as required by applicable law.

7. Security

We protect personal information using HTTPS encryption in transit, hashed passwords, and restricted administrative access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 14, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. International users

Aitecture is operated from the Republic of Korea. By using the Service, you understand that your information is processed in the Republic of Korea and in the countries where our service providers operate.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the “Last updated” date. Significant changes will be announced on the forum.
